Homemade Fruit Vinegar

Here is a glass of energy boost drink for when you feel exhausted.

It’s been about a year and half since I started working in NYC, and I am not gonna lie; working in the city makes you feel like a zombie by the end of the day. First thing you go through as you commute is a bunch of people ahead of you, almost making you feel like it will take forever to get to work. You can’t walk in a straight line; you have to dance around everyone every step of the way, hearing some driver honking at pedestrians because they don’t follow the traffic light. After the journey, a stressful 8 hour day begins. I like what I do at my work, but it sucks my energy completely by the end of the day.

Every single day, I feel like plopping onto a couch after coming back home and watching Buffy the vampire slayer.

Obviously, I needed to do something and this fruit-infused vinegar came into my mind after some research, finding out that vinegar contains potassium which relieves fatigue.

It’s very tasty and quite refreshing to drink it with sparking water.

********Recipe for Fruit Vinegar*************

  • 100g fruit (I used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries)
  • 100g sugar
  • 150g vinegar

All you need to do is to mix those ingredients in a big jar and let it sit for a week in a fridge (make sure to stir it at least once a day!). After a week, it is ready. You can add 1tbs of the vinegar to a glass of sparkling water or it would be nice to have it with plain yogurt too!

Enjoy 🙂
